Funding & Scholarships

Many international student scholarships—and funding for faculty and staff, too

International students, the way IUPUI prepares you for life means that you receive great value for your tuition dollars—especially if you receive one or more of our scholarships.

International students are eligible to be considered for scholarships worth up to $16,000 per year. When you apply for admission, IUPUI automatically considers you for some merit scholarships. You can also apply separately for other scholarships.

More Funding (and Savings) for Students

Scholarships are one of several ways that international students can earn money, manage their costs, and use funding to enhance their educations.

IUPUI accepts a variety of academic credit, which will help you graduate sooner. F-1 students and J-1 students can get jobs on campus (up to 20 hours per week) to earn money. The MoneySmarts program can teach you how to make informed financial decisions. Plus, the cost of living in Indianapolis is 7 percent lower than the U.S. average.

OIA also offers funding for student organizations, and our Study Abroad Office has information about financial aid and scholarships for study abroad.

International Grants for Faculty and Staff

OIA, IUPUI, and Indiana University offer a variety of grants to fund international education, projects, and partnerships. We also help faculty and staff explore external grants, such as the Fulbright.
