You are invited to eat, explore, and engage in IUPUI’s global community at the International Festival

Join us for IUPUI's 11th Annual International Festival! 

  • Eat FREE FOOD from around the world
  • Explore international opportunities on campus and in the community
  • Engage with international student groups, community organizations and global vendors
  • Wear international fashion for a chance to win a Barnes & Noble giftcard
  • And enjoy performances by dancers, musicians, and more.

More than 40 organizations including IUPUI clubs, schools, fair-trade vendors and community partners participate in the festival with exhibitor tables.

    9:00am - Lectures begin (CE 307, 309)

    10:30am - Festival open

    11:00am - Free food samples served

    12:00pm - Best Dressed Contest winner #1 announced

    12:30pm - International Awards ceremony (atrium stage)

    1:00pm - Performers begin

    2:00pm - Best Dressed Contest winner #2 announced

    2:30pm - Festival closes

    Try free samples of international cuisine all around the Campus Center atrium, lower level and bookstore! 

    China - Shrimp Lo Mein

    Africa/Ivory Coast - Alloco (fried plantain)

    Puerto Rico - Chicharrones de Pollo

    Turkey - Turkish Rissoles

    India - Aloo Chaat

    Recipes will be available at the festival as well.

    Join us for international lectures and dialogue held in the Campus Center throughout the day:

    International Educators Track - CE Rm. 307

    9:00 - 10:15am - Facilitating Transformational Learning in Global Service-Learning: Lessons Learned in the Field. Presented by Richard Kiely, Director or Engaged Learning + Research at Cornell University. 

    10:30 - 11:45am - The Internationalization of Higher Education: How Today's Landscape Differs from the Past. Presented by Susan Sutton, Senior Advisor for International Initiatives at Bryn Mawr College. 

  • Best Dressed Contest - chance to win $!

    Come dressed in international clothing and post your selfie on social media (Twitter, Facebook or Instagram) with #globalJags.

    The Best Dressed Contest winners will receive a $25 gift card to Barnes & Noble.  Two winners will be announced at the festival.  Two will be announced the next day to whoever has the most likes and reposts.
