Plan Your Arrival

After you are admitted to IUPUI, there are many things you need to do to prepare for your arrival.

The Pre-Arrival Checklist in iStart is your most important resource for planning your arrival. By completing the items that are listed there, you will ensure a successful transition to life at IUPUI.

If you arrive before your move-in date, or at a time when you can’t move in (such as a weekend), you will need to stay at a hotel. There are some hotels that have special rates for IUPUI visitors.

International Welcome Week is important—it is your orientation to IUPUI. You must sign up for the Welcome Week in iStart.

  • Make Your Travel Arrangements

Check your letter of admission for your expected arrival date, and make sure you book your flight accordingly. You should book a connecting flight all the way to Indianapolis International Airport (not Chicago) from your home country.

The Office of International Affairs provides complimentary transportation everyday of the year except for December 25th from Indianapolis International Airport to the IUPUI campus and nearby apartments and hotels.
