Why did you become a mentor: When I moved to the U.S. I did not have any help or guidance and made it difficult for me to adjust. I want to help international students and make them feel welcome.

Bio: I was born and raised in Mexico and moved to the United States six years ago. I moved to Columbus, Indiana with my parents and my sister and after finishing high school I decided to continue my education at IUPUI. I love the diversity of the campus because it has given me the opportunity to meet so many people from all around the world. I am a huge fan of roller coasters so I love going to amusement parks! I can be a little competitive when it comes to playing board games. Also I am a huge Harry Potter fan (go go Gryffindor).

Favorite spot on campus: the swimming pool in the Natatorium

Favorite thing about IUPUI: The diversity and the people!

Some life advice: TAKE A RISK!
