Bianca Marrufo

USA, Mexico

School Year: Junior

Major(s): International Studies, Spanish

Team: Incredibles

Languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese

Hobbies: I absolutely love cooking and learning new cuisines from different countries. I also love going to the gym and exercising.

Why did you become a mentor: In my junior year of high school I studied abroad in Brazil for a year. During this year I really didn't have anyone show me around the ropes of what life in Brazil was like, I had to learn this myself. I want to be able to help other students not go through what I went through. I want to be able to guide students concerns or questions they might have about their new life in Indy!

Bio: My name is Bianca and I was born in the United States but grew up with two awesome Mexican parents. Growing up with two cultures is something that I have absolutely loved. Because of my Mexican heritage, I have been able to fall in love with cooking and it is something that I love to do in my free time. And thanks to my American culture I have fallen in love with sports and the competitive aspect of it. I also love to be active that be going outside to go on a walk or going outside to run or play soccer!

Best place to go in Indianapolis: Indianapolis Museum of art!

Best place to eat: If you're ever in the mood for Italian food, Iozzos Garden of Italy is the best Italian food I have ever had!
