Global Crossroads Lab
Interactive videoconferencing is a powerful tool to engage IUPUI students, faculty and staff with the world.
The Office of International Affairs is home to the Global Crossroads facility designed for state of the art, videoconferencing. Located in ES 2132, Global Crossroads is available for incorporating interactive video into courses on a semester-long or case-by-case basis.
Re-opened in 2013 with the latest high-definition video conferencing technology, Global Crossroads is a collaborative partnership funded by the Office of International Affairs, University Information Technology Services and a Learning Environment Grant from the Center for Teaching and Learning. The specialized H.323 videoconferencing protocol uses EagleEye Director for voice and facial recognition to personalize live classes and meetings.
The Global Crossroads facility has enabled IUPUI to become a recognized leader in comprehensive campus internationalization.
