IUPUI is committed to engaging the world through partnership and dialogue. We are pleased to announce the inauguration of a new program at IUPUI: a year-long series of lectures, films, performances, exhibits, and videoconferences focused on a part of the world with which IUPUI has strong connections, done in collaboration with colleagues, students, and public figures from that country or region.

2009 Indianapolis International Festival

IUPUI is a community partner to the Indianapolis International Festival.

Explore Africa in a Big Way!
The Nationalities Council will partner with the Geography Educators' Network of Indiana at IUPUI to present the National Geograhic Society's Giant Travelling Map of Africa.  Measuring 26'x35' and weighing 102 lbs., this giant map of Africa is the world's largest map of the continent.  Students across the globe are using this map as a great tool to explore the continent  in a variety of unique ways!  The giant map is designed as a geo-game board to introduce students to the power of map and the diverse georgraphy of Africa.

Voices at Risk/Visions of Hope

Throughout the academic year, the IUPUI Office of International Affairs, in collaboration with Human Rights Works, the Scholars at Risk Network, and the Program in International Human Rights Law, will feature guest speakers live or via videoconference from embattled parts of the world, including Pakistan, Ethiopia, Iran, and Egypt.
