Name: Amber Bennett
Major: Political Science and International Studies
IUPUI Awards: Community Service Scholar, and Multicultural Leadership Empowerment Program Graduate.
Hobbies: Spending time with friends, watching movies, reading, and traveling.
Why did you become a mentor: I became a mentor because I have always loved to learn about different cultures, and to meet and help people. By being a mentor I can meet other students from all over the world. I get to help students learn about how to be a successful college student and help them adjust to living in Indianapolis. I also get to learn new skills and work with people from different cultures.
Bio: I’m a Junior at IUPUI, and I’m majoring in political science and international studies, and minoring in spanish and public policy. I have lived in Indianapolis for 5 years, and before that I lived in Michigan. This is my second year being a IPMP mentor. I am involved in several different student organizations when I'm not busy with IPMP, and I am also working on my pilots license. My goal is to go to law school after I finish undergrad and then run for office and become a politician.
Favorite spot on campus: Library in Mckinney school of law, it has a great view of downtown.
Best place to go in Indianapolis: Wherever my friends are. It's not the place that is special it's the people you get to spend time with that make the place special.
