Important Information

  • All scholarships require you to be enrolled full time in the fall and spring semesters. For scholarship renewal critera please refer to the Office of Student Scholarships.
  • Scholarship funds cannot be used for intensive study of English as a Second Language.

Merit Scholarships

IUPUI will automatically consider you for these scholarships when you apply for admission. Students can receive a maximum of one merit scholarship. Merit transfer scholarships may be renewed for up to two years.

  • Nonresident Transfer Scholar Award (Up to $14,000)

    Amount

    $7,000 per year for up to two years.

    You may be eligible if you:

    • Studied at an officially recognized postsecondary university
    • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
    • Are not an inter-campus (IU system) transfer or pursuing a 2nd bachelor's degree
    • Must have completed at least 12 or more credit hours of accredited university work
  • ELS Ambassador Award (Up to $14,000)

    Amount

    $7,000 per year

    You may be eligible if you:

    • Have a minimum postsecondary cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
    • Successfully complete Level 112 at an ELS Language Center in the USA or Canada
